We partnered with the Urban Planning Department of Cyprus to enhance the condition of two historic centers on the island. Our primary goal was the rehabilitation of these areas, many of which had lost their original significance over the past decades—primarily due to the overwhelming use of personal cars. We aimed to reclaim and return these spaces to the citizens, fostering communal areas and gathering places ready for events or simple enjoyment, all without displacing existing uses and essential services. We achieved this by integrating new materials and technologies while rigorously respecting the unique, historic character of each center.
